THE CHISTERA
The chistera is an instrument used in two disciplines of Basque pelota: the grand chistera outdoors and the cesta punta indoors.
The principle is to throw a ball called a “pelota” against a wall: the fronton. The objective is to ensure that the opponent does not catch the ball or make a direct error.
The chistera is the fastest ball sport in the world. The ball was clocked at over 313 km/h!
